Manila at Brookland Preview

BROOKLAND, ARK – Brookland will face off against the Manila Lions Friday night in the home opener for the Bearcats. It will be Military Appreciation day at Jordan’s Kwik-Stop Stadium.
The Bearcats seek revenge at home against the Lions after a close loss last season on the road. This will be the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools. Currently, Manila holds the advantage in terms of head-to-head record, 2-1. The road team has yet to win in this non-conference rivalry.
The Bearcats won the first ever meeting between the two in 2014 by a score of 30-16 in Brookland. The game was held at Manila the next two years, with the Lions winning 33-28 in 2015 and 33-26 last season.
The Lions come into this game with an overall record of 0-2 after losses on the road against Westside (36-8) and at home against Trumann (42-14). The Bearcats boast a 2-0 record after road wins against Cedar Ridge (35-6) and Corning (42-22).
Pre-game events will begin at 6:40 P.M. and kickoff is scheduled for 7 P.M. in Brookland.
